Testing Robots and the META Robots NoSnippet Tag

This page is a test page helping us identify robots that follow links in the Meta Robots tag. For more tests, see the List of Robot Tests.

If you see a snippet of text for this page in an index created by a robot spider (also known as a crawler), that spider is ignoring the META ROBOTS NOSNIPPET tag and breaking the rules.

The meta robots tag for this page is: <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOSNIPPET">, meaning that robots should index text on this page, but should not display the "snippet" text or a link to a "cache" in search results pages (SERP). I'm not exactly sure if this means that the search engines should also suppress the ODP info and meta description tags.

I am adding a meta description tag with rtest code 11015, to see what happens when this page gets indexed.
